By way of a review of what we have done so far, we have had a smashing start to the club, couldn't have been better.  When we set up the club I thought we may have to build up the numbers attending, but it seems we hit the mark right at the start.

We started at 39 people attending on the first week with 14 performers and 45 the second week with 21 performers.

We have had 3 Guest Nights so far, with Tony Portlock and Emmi Bose, The Edwards Brothers and Colin Pitts. On March 19th 2008 we have booked The Laners and that will be a night to remember.

At Christmas we had our Christmas Raffle and it was a brilliant night and I am sure everyone who brought a ticket won at least one prize.

Following on from Christmas, we had our first Charity Night of the year which we dedicated to Heart Care in Walsall.  One of our regulars at the club had occasion to be under their wing following heart surgery, so we thought that they would benefit this time

This was on February 13th 2008 and was a full house, a superb night and thanks to the generosity of everyone who came, we raised £70 on the night.

On March 19th to celebrate our 1st Birthday, we booked The Laners and I have to say it was one of the best nights we have had at the club, certainly the biggest crowd we  have had.

Tony Portlock and Billy and Lozz did brilliant support sets and it goes without saying The Laners were brilliant. Here's to the next year.

On April 9th 2008 we moved to our new premises at the Springvale Club in Millfields Road in Bilston.  We had given the matter a lot of thought for a while but as people who have been to the club were aware, space has been a problem at the old premises. The Sprinvale Club offer a spacious, newly refurbished function room with comfortable seating and storage for instruments.  We now operate and offer a full PA system, lighting and a stage for use by performers.  Another major step in the development of the club.

On 28th May 2008 we were host to The Roosterspake Celebration of Life World Tour of the Black Country.  This was a fundraiser for Sandwell Hospital Cancer Ward.  On this we handed over the night to Brian and Lozz and many others who performed superbly and gave us a night to remember.  We also raised around £100 for for Sandwell Hospital.
